A WALKATHON TO REMEMBER
From the making table
to the community.
On September 12, Aditi shared her handmade creations at the Dhaan Walkathon at Wilmot Gateway Park. Visitors stopped at the craft table, explored the little pieces, and supported her work through their purchases.
The day brought in $175 in craft sales, with all of those proceeds pledged to Dhaan’s work supporting education. It was a way to connect the joy of making with a purpose beyond the craft table.
To everyone who chose a piece, stopped for a conversation, or offered encouragement: thank you for being part of this little beginning.
The amount above is from Aditi’s craft sales, not the walkathon’s total fundraising result.
THE PURPOSE BEHIND THE DAY
Helping students
keep learning.
Sourashtra Dhaan Organization serves the Sourashtra community through education, medical services, heritage initiatives, and youth leadership. Its scholarship program supports students who face financial obstacles to continuing their studies.
The event’s banner highlights college scholarships, work-study and career preparation, exam coaching, and learning resources such as computer labs and libraries. These are part of Dhaan’s wider work, not outcomes claimed for this craft sale.
Education & opportunity
Scholarships and learning support for students facing financial barriers.
A community that gives back
Youth leadership and community-led activities that bring people together around a shared purpose.
THANK YOU FOR SHOWING UP
Little things.
A little more together.
Thank you to the walkathon organizers, everyone who visited the craft table, and our first customer. Your support helped turn handmade creations into a contribution with a purpose.
